Tracking expenses via Twitter

When I first heard about Twitter, I wasn’t sure it really made sense and figured it would be short-lived.

Well, I was wrong and Twitter is still kicking.  I figured that Twitter may actually be a good tool for me to use during this whole process.  If you haven’t noticed already, on the right-hand side of the screen, it says “Broke on the go” and this will keep you posted with my Twitter updates.  When I am out to lunch or getting coffee, I have a tendency to forget what I spend during the day.  $20 here, $1.50 there.  It all adds up.  With Twitter, I think I can create a sense of accountability on the money that I spend.  Will I show every expense I make?  I think so.  I don’t necessary have to put exactly what I’m spending the money on, but I think it is more of the fact that I am spending money.

Let’s see how this goes.  Also, if any other bloggers there have a recommended Twitter widget/plugin for WordPress, please shoot me a line.  I’ve tried a few and nothing has really stood out as the best one just yet.
