About Me

Hey there.  My name is “broke.”  I chose the name broke for obvious reasons, the main one being that I am in debt up to my receding hairline and unless I do something about it, I’ll be regretting it later in life like many that I know.  Before I go any further, I must say that one of the primary inspriation for this blog, well inspirations, were pf blogs such as fivecentnickel, Blueprint for Financial Prosperity, pfblogs.org (which collects some of the best darn blogs, period), and sites such as the Consumerist, which I must congratulate on its recent sale to the Consumers Union.

I’m in my late twenties, married, and work in a big city.  I’m an attorney, who went for an extra year of school and has racked up some pretty serious debt in various forms.  Whether it is student loans, credit card debt from a wedding, school debt in the shape of credit card debt, or money that I borrowed from my parents during my wedding, there is enough debt out there to go around.
